Among its many other use-cases (see Apple’s recent set of commercials), there are a growing number of couples taking advantage of FaceTime to help them stay connected — and stay intimate — when they’re unable to be together. From overnight business trips to long distance relationships, FaceTime on iPhone 4 provides several advantages over regular telephones and computers when it comes to intimate moments.

First, experts say 80% of communication is really transmitted through body language and expression. All of this is lost over text or spoken conversation. Text only allows for word choice. Voice only allows for intonation. With FaceTime and its wonderful video quality you can actually see changes in expression; a twinkle in the eyes, a blush along the cheek, subtle smile, a bittersweet glance.

Second, iPhone is a lot easier to move around the house (and into the bed!) than a clunky old laptop. You can have your iPhone comfortably docked or propped up beside you if you want to keep your hands free, or grab it and take it under the covers if the mood strikes you.

Kyle over at sibling site Android Central took issue with a recent story about iPhone owners getting more sex than Android or BlackBerry owners (go figure). To illustrate his point he spun a story about Droids taking over the college dorms and then posted up a little poll.

Well, two can play at that game, Kyle. Anyone here seeing more Droids than iPhones out in the dating world?

The folks over at OkCupid have performed a little study where they analyze photography from a numerical angle. The finding we found most interesting is that iPhone users have more sex than other smartphone users.

The above chart compares the number of sexual partners of 30 year olds who use an iPhone, Blackberry, or Android phone. They also broke down the data of the number of sexual partners by age. The iPhone wins on that chart too.

The mathematical part of me has to ask, are iPhone users attracting more partners because they use an iPhone, or is that that these people prefer iPhones (perhaps because of all those dating apps)? In the chance that it’s the former, any Android users ready to make the switch?

Steve Jobs, at the D8 Conference, comments on the lost/stolen iPhone HD/iPhone 4G prototype that turned up online. Jobs thinks it’s an amazing story – theft, buying stolen property, extortion… he thinks there may be sex in there somewhere!

Jobs got a lot of advice saying he should let it slide, shouldn’t go after a journalist because they (allegedly!) bought stolen property and tried to extort Apple. Jobs would rather quit. He considers it a matter of their core values.

It’s doubtful what exactly would make it through the App Store approval process, but hey, we’re sure iBackMassagerWeSwear is already in the pipeline, right?
