Watching iPad Live, iPhone Live, or any of the other Mobile Nations Podcasts on your iPhone or iPad is kinda cool, but what's really cool is watching them on your big screen TV. Luckily, with just an Apple TV, an app, and a few taps, it's easy to do. Here's how:

1. Grab the Ustream app for your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad
2. Wait for one of our shows to begin and search for MobileNations in the Ustream app
3. Hit the AirPlay button and beam it straight to your AppleTV

That's it! Crack open a spicy drink, grab a tasty snack, and enjoy! We'll see you on the big shows!

Could Duet Browser for iPad be a better way to watch iPad Live and iPhone Live -- and chat! -- than the Ustream app we told you about last week? Reader Zach thinks so:

Ustream.com works on the iPad natively now. You can use "Duet Browser" to pull up the live stream in one pane, and pull up the chatroll in another. Here's a screenshot from tonight for reference. There's a free version, but I don't know the limitations.

Curious how to watch our podcasts, iPhone Live and iPad Live on your iPhone and iPad? If you come here to TiPb.com on your iOS device you'll likely realize we're trapped in little, unsupported Flash boxes. However, there is a way to see and hear at least some of the show while mobile. We'll tell you how after the break!

We use Ustream to stream our iPhone Live! and iPad Live! podcasts and they use Flash on the browser end, which is not supported by Apple and iOS. However Ustream has made an app that will let you watch the hosts video and everyone's audio. Here's how it works:

1. Download the Ustream Viewing Application [Free - iTunes Link]
2. Wait until about 9pm ET on Wednesday (iPhone Live) or Sunday (iPad Live).
3. Launch the Ustream Viewing app.
4. Search for "Mobile Nations" (both shows use that name for the broadcast).
5. There might be several results, look for the one that actually says iPhone Live and tap on it.
6. Wait for the stream to buffer.
7. Watch along with us!

Unfortunately you can't watch everyone at once and we're using a different chat program at the moment, so you can't watch and chat but we're working on solving both those problems. In the meantime you can still keep up with both iPhone Live and iPad live on the go with your iPhone or iPod touch, or with your feet up on iPad!

Bonus Tip: You can also try watching via http://www.imore.com/live/ with the Skyfire Flash-transcoding browser but we've had mixed results at best. [$2.99 - iTunes link]

ORIGINAL: Ustream Live Broadcaster [Free - iTunes link] for iPhone has arrived, enabling users to point their iPhone cameras and instantly share whatever they're looking at with internet viewers everywhere (terms of service appropriate, thankfully).

It's been a long, slow road getting live video up-streaming onto the iPhone, with Ustream in specific releasing a limited viewer-only app first, then a record-now-upload-later app. Does this mean the gates are open for yet another previously unavailable category? We'll see. And while we're happy with video, we're still waiting for VoIP over 3G as well.

Meanwhile, we're bracing ourselves for the flood of "Come see me live" posts to flood our Twitter feeds. So just do us a favor and point that iPhone camera at something interesting, will ya?

Cali Lewis of Geekbrief.tv rounds up some of the news from last week that TiPb somehow didn't get to, including the iPhone mirroring a WiiMote, the new UStream 3GS Recorder app [Free - iTunes link] that lets you record and upload video to Ustream (no live streaming though...), and the first signs of life for the TomTom car kit for the iPhone... along with a big UK price tag that makes us think it may land at US$200.

While Cali recently broke her iPhone, and Apple's App Store shenanigans have encouraged her to look at alternate handsets to replace it with, here's hoping she stays iCali for a while still and helps all of us help Apple evolve their thinking...

Just in time for the inauguration of the next US President, Ustream's Viewing Application for the iPhone has gone live in the iTunes App Store.

It's FREE, so go grab it, then settle in and watch the Inauguration (and doubtless much more content to come) stream right to your iPhone.

One word of warning: it's WiFi only at the moment, so make sure you're near your favorite router before the festivities commence.

With built-in YouTube, SlingMedia Player in the works, and now Ustream announcing an iPhone viewer, is Flash still going to dominate most-wanted lists, or is Apple actually halting Adobe's video advance? We don't know, but we do know we're really excited by the mobile video options we're already seeing:

Ustream has developed an application for the 3G iphone that allows you to watch Ustream anywhere w/everyone. Regardless of where you are at and what you are doing, you can choose to be in the moment with others in a shared live experience around a live event. If you are out-on-the-town and know that a guest speaker at a major conference is “going live” and want to watch live and be-in-the-crowd, then you can with this application. You will be able to watch the Inauguration LIVE on Ustream with chat.

If Apple approves the Ustream Viewer in time, who'll be watching?
