Apple has released iOS 4.3.4 for iPad, iPod touch, and GSM /AT&T iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, and iOS 4.2.9 for Verizon iPhone, which addresses the dangerous PDF security exploit utilized by Jailbreakme.com.

Preliminary market share results are in and it looks as though Apple is surging while Android declines. With the release of the iPhone on the Verizon network less than six months ago, reports are saying the device is putting a halt to the sale of Android devices and with the much anticipated iPhone 5 coming soon it could put Android even further away from the momentum Apple is gaining with the iPhone.

Verizon CFO Fran Shammo revealed today that iPhone 5 is still on track to be a dual-mode CDMA/GSM world phone, and additionally that it will ship at the same time as the AT&T and other GSM versions.
When the next iPhone model launches Verizon will be able to offer it at the same time as AT&T. Verizon's version will also work in as many countries as AT&T's iPhone, which has global coverage, Shammo said.

This year is turning out to be a big one for Apple. Verizon joined Apple and AT&T this week in releasing their quarterly results, and during the conference call revealed 2.2 million Verizon iPhone 4 were sold since launch, and that iPhone 5 looks to be a world phone. Overall, Verizon announced 6.3 percent year-over-year increase in revenues, data revenues up 22.3 percent, 1.8 million net new subscribers, and 104.0 million total connections, including 88.4 million retail customers.
