Time Warner Cable and Viacom end dispute, channels set to return to TWCable TV app

Time Warner Cable and Viacom have finally come to an agreement and ended the dispute that has been ongoing for over a year. It started back in April last year when TWCable TV started to receive cease and desist orders from various TV networks over its TWCable TV app.

Viacom is flexing its muscles once more, this time asking Cablevision to remove all Viacom media content from its Optimum iPad App. A couple of weeks ago, we heard that Time Warner had been asked to remove all content from Viacom from its TW Cable app; which it has now done. That particular tiff is heading to court for a ruling.

Time Warner Cable issued a press release today announcing they have filed a request for declaratory judgement related to its recent TWCable TV app debacle, which forced them to remove a number of channels from the iPad app last week.
