TiPb Asks: How are you using your iPhone or iPad on July 4?

It's the July 4 Independence Day holiday in the US, where rockets are red glaring and cannons are air bursting, and we have no doubt a lot of you are breaking out the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad to help you celebrate. And we're curious how?

Are you using them to look up great places to go and things to do, to book your spots and to find directions how to get there? Are you using them to keep in touch with friends and family over the phone, via text or IM, or to keep up on the social networks like Facebook and Twitter? (Or to show off that you got in on Google+ ?) Are you keeping yourself and others entertained with great movies and games on-device, or shooting them up on the big screen via AirPlay? Are you going to take photos of the fireworks or shoot video of that utterly righteous cannonball off the rope, over the picnic, and into the lake? Or are you going to relax, sip a cold and spicy beverage, and lose yourself in a great ebook?

What are you doing for July 4 and how is your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch helping you do it?

Wow really? How are you using your iPhone on the 4th of July?
I'm using my iPhone the exact same way I do every other day of the year.
Sometimes it's better to post nothing at all
Not trying to be that guy, but does no one else agree with me here?

Chris says:

I do. I don't own an iPhone but I do own an iPAd and I'm gonna use it the same as I do every day.
I'd much prefer to see a debate on the fox news hacking on obama then to ask a question thats answers would be the same each day.

Streaming Slacker Premium through my iPhone to my boat stereo while anchored in about 15ft of crystal clear water over ripply sand while drinking a Corona with lime. And not a cloud in the sky. :-) Not exactly a horrible day.

Not so much today, but Friday evening I used my iPhone to follow weather radar and notified officials working the carnival venue that severe weather was imminent. Today, none of those worries.

Watching the weather, games with grandkids, usual e mails. Happy 4th!

Wallowing in my own filth and regret.

Like any other day. :) I'm using my iOS devices--iPhone 4 and iPad 2--for everything under the Sun that needs doing in the digital realm. :)

I am using it to internet tether on the trip I'm taking. As a matter of fact, I'm typing this over the tethered connection as we drive down the highway.
