Everything you need to know about the Iconfactory's iconic Twitterrific, the granddaddy of all Twitter apps for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Mac.
Twitterrific was the first native social networking client on the iPhone. Created by Craig Hockenberry and Gedeon Maheux of the Iconfactory, it began life as the Mobile Twitterrific in August of 2007, only two short months after the original iPhone shipped. When Apple launched the App Store, Twitterrific was there on day one, and again when Apple launched the iPad App Store. Twitterrific also helped establish and define everything from the bird-as-brand for Twitter, to the tweet itself. More recently, Twitterrific 5, Sean Heber and David Lanham brought a fast new interface and cool, clean new look to the app ahead of iOS 7, nailing the new design language before Apple had shown off even a pixel.
