Vote now for your favorite Jailbreak app! - TiPb Awards

TiPb.com 2010 App, Accessory, and iOS awards

REMINDER: This is for apps NOT HACKS. To qualify, it has to involve an icon you tap to launch a program and has to have come out or been significantly updated in 2010.

The 2010 TiPb Awards are underway and right now it's time to vote on your favorite Jailbreak app of the year. These are for full blown programs that run on your iPhone or iPad but Apple wouldn't allow into the App Store.

With iOS 4, iPhone 4, iPod touch 4, and iPad this year Jailbreak devs had an entirely new software and hardware playground at their disposal and boy did they not disappoint. But there can only be one 2010 TiPb Award winner! Choose your favorite in the pole above and then let us know why you chose the favorite you did in comments below. (And if you don't see your favorite here, add it as a write-in as well!)

  • BiteSMS
  • Display Recorder
  • TLert
  • My3G
  • MyWi

Ready, set, vote!

Guys, read:

MyWi and BiteSMS are close, but I do use BiteSMS ALL the time. Used iRealSMS at first, but there was no comparison after switching to BiteSMS. Probably the reason it's not on the list. LOL

Confusing, some hacks provide icon just for changing setting.. So are they apps? Other hack insert in phone settings directly

lockinfo but if that is a hack, then iRealSMS. Would choose My Profiles but has not been updated in a while.

I agree with Jesse about bitesms and MyWi. But I'll have to go with MyWi bc in the end its the best app when I use it. It also saves me a grip of money.

BiteSMS why is that a top app the iPhone sms works just fine. How hard is it to chose answer now or latter MyWi me personally do not need it I have a Nokia with free wifi hotspot if I need 3G on my laptop or when I get a table I can just move my SIM into that and done pulse the advantage is that I can use 3G restricted apps on my iPhone and my Nokia has extremely good battery life even when wifi hotspot is on and I don't need to jailbreak for such a obituary thing I perfure tweaks and cool game/apps that are not in the app store and to update to the next OS update when released without waiting and or giving up functionality. I my favorite apps for jailbreak are HTC weather and iFile. I am more of uI tweakier.

Bite SMS when I was jailbroken is the only app I really miss. In app SMS without leaving the app is a very nice feature which I thought was something that developers would adopt as Apple was supposed to release the API for that but whatever.
My3G is a close second as I like to stick it to ATT as much as I can.

MyWi is the reason I JB. BiteSMS is incredible. It shows Apple how to make a messaging app right. Very close. Have to vote MyWi though because it's more important for me. It's the last JB app I would want to lose. ....looking forward to final release of RedSn0w. I'd be untethered now but I'll wait for the non-beta version. Thanks for everyone's contributions to the JB community. :-)
