Developer WayForward Technologies will release their latest adventure game Watch Quest as an exclusive for the Apple Watch next week.
As with all apps made for the Apple Watch, Watch Quest will require the use of an iPhone as well to play the game. While Watch Quest will be free to download with one training mission, additional quests and characters can be bought via the iPhone. WayForward says:
The iPhone serves as the player's kingdom, while the Apple Watch represents a journey that spans several hours. Gameplay revolves around choosing a hero and equipping them on the iPhone, and then guiding the Hero via the Apple Watch as he or she travels lands, battles monsters, solves puzzles, and searches for treasures. Players are invited to play passively by selecting longer, easier quests and outfitting the hero up front – or by taking on more difficult quests which require foraging for items as you go.
WayForward is a veteran game developer who have created a variety of titles for mobile, console and PC platforms. including the recent DuckTales: Remastered for the iPhone and iPad.
