If Apple sticks to the same pattern as the last few years, we're only a couple of weeks away from the unveiling of the next-generation iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and only a few weeks away from launch. So, before we leap forward we thought it would be interesting to take a quick look back.
My first iPhone was the original back in 2007. It took me a few months to get it, however, since it was never actually available in Canada. (The iPhone 3G was the first one to officially launch here and in most other places.) I bought an iPod touch first and then kept wishing I could somehow merge it with my Palm Treo to make an iPhone.
When the first—ahem—unlocking methods—ahem—became available, I pounced on them. And the original iPhone. And the $200/month for 100MB data plan my carrier offered at the time. Ugh.
While I've always had other phones since then, including HTC, LG, BlackBerry, Lumia, and others, the iPhone has been my primary ever since.
So, what was your first iPhone? Did you get the original right away, or was the current model your first? If you've yet to get an iPhone, are you considering it when the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus get released next month? Vote in the poll up top and then let me know the details in the comments below!
