Ruh roh. Android phone but Mac/iPad user here and am impressed with ios 8.
Mu guess is there will be a hardware event - perhaps in August - and they'll announce release in September...
Shame we've got to wait till autumn/fall for the new OS X.
When can i update to IOS 8 I've been waiting along time
If you're a developer then you should be able to get the beta later today. The official public release won't be until September most likely.
is the live stream on apples website working for anyone?
Can I update my phone to IOS 8
You will probably be able to in a couple of hours. The announcement will have to be made first.
No chance of an iOS download today, sorry. It'll be announced but the general release won't be for several months.
I know, I wasn't talking about the Gold Master. Any downloads will be Developer Beta's.
General release will likely be in the last half of September... when the next iOS devices drop...
The link ain't working !!!!!
.. And people have so much time to troll! Lol
Let's wait to see more android's ripoffs. Apple just loves to copy android's functionalities and features.
Let's not get started on that. Couldn't the iphone read your fingerprint before the s5??
Android had a fingerprint reader on the Atrix along time ago way before Apple.
Yes it did. But it sucked!
It doesn't matter if it sucked or not all that matters is Android did it first and Apple copied it.
Ugh. It's apparently also far too easy to mistakenly post multiples. Sorry about that.
We're looking into that, seems to be happening a lot at the moment :)
The unfortunate thing about the iMore app chat area is the fact that new posts appear at the bottom, but to refresh you have to go back to the top to 'pull down to refresh'.
New posts should come in at the top of the liveblog window as we push them. Shouldn't be any need to refresh :)
Where is the link to the live blog?
You're on it already... it will appear in the space bellow Rene's article in plenty of time before the event starts.
It's already embedded in this post :) You won't see anything until stuff starts happening
I live in Alabama, what time will it start?
12 pm- 2pm
Today is a day when technology progresses or is it!!!
Would really like it if they put out a new Mac Mini. Been waiting for an update to pick it up.
A new AppleTV would be nice was well, as I need one of those, but if no update, the current gen will do me fine. Just don't want to spend the money if it is going to be obsoleted in the very short-term.
Any way to watch keynote live on Windows?
at the bottom that page it is written.
"Live streaming video requires Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later; Safari on iOS 4.2 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 5.0.2 or later."
so will it work on windows 8.1 i have safari as well quicktime installed
The live streaming is not working on my safari on win 8.1.. still say available shortly..
Let this not be yet another excuse for Wall Street to pump and dump AAPL.
It'll be the usual format again, but I guess that works.
Any new in ios8 ??????
Looking forward to the usual great WWDC coverage from iMore.
Bring it on!
It would be so nice to see iOS 8 control center with some color.
Really excited to hear what Apple has in store for us.
So ready to see what happens at WWDC 2014
