App Store search not working for you? Here's a fix!

Search in the App Store isn't working for some people right now. Whether it's a server-side glitch or something to do with the new search ad system that's just started rolling out, we're getting a bunch of reports from people who simply can't get search results to show. Well, worry not! We have a fix that just might help!

How to fix App Store search not working

To get App Store search working again, you can try flipping on Apple's Limit Ad Tracking feature. For whatever reason, that's proven effective for those experiencing the problem right now.

  1. Launch the Settings app.
  2. Tap Privacy.

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Advertising.
  2. Toggle the Limit Ad Tracking switch on.

One that's done, App Store search should start working again. If not, force quit the App Store app, re-launch it, and try again.
