Apple A8 is the name of Apple's second-generation 64-bit system-on-a-chip (SoC). The Apple A8 currently powers both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It combines a dual-core 64-bit 20nm CPU codenamed "Typhoon", fabricated by TMC, consisting of 2 billion transistors, and a quad-core PowerVR G6430 GPU, with 1GB of RAM.
