Apple returns toolbar customization to iWork Mac apps, more

A day after Apple updated iMovie, the company has released updates to its iWork '13 Apps: Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. The new apps are available for download immediately to the software update system preference and the Mac App Store.

Keynote 6.0.1, Pages 5.0.1 and Numbers 3.0.1 all return the ability to customize the toolbar, a key feature users of the older iWork apps complained about when the new versions shipped in October. All applications also include stability improvements and bug fixes.

Keynote adds seven new transitions and seven new builds. Pages now leaves center and edge guides on by default. Numbers preserves window size and placement when saving a document and also allows you to set the default zoom in Preferences.

All iWork '13 applications are free with the purchase of a new Mac and are free upgrades from previous versions if you have upgraded to Mavericks.

Have you downloaded the upgraded iWork '13 apps? How are they working from you? Are there still key features in the previous versions that you miss? Let me know in the comments.
