Assassin's Creed Identity for iPhone and iPad soft launches in Australia and New Zealand

Ubisoft has soft-launched Assassin's Creed: Identity, the latest Assassin's Creed mobile game for iPhone and iPad, in Australia and New Zealand. While there have been Assassin's Creed games on iOS before, Identity is the first to bring the third-person action experience from consoles and PC down to mobile devices.

Identity features free roaming in the Italian Renaissance. The game is meant to be played on the go, and the missions reflect that. Ubisoft promises that missions will be both short and varied, with randomly generated scenarios coming from sixteen types. Missions will take you to the Colosseum, Florence, and more, with additional locations unlocking as you play the game.

Identity allows you to choose from three distinct classes to best fit your playing style. The loot you find and purchase will allow you to customize your assassin, and craft new items to use. You can get help from friends and other players to complete objectives by calling them in at any time during a mission. You can also train two assassin recruits.

Assassin's Creed: Identity requires iOS 7, along with an iPhone 5 or iPad 3 or later. The game is free to download, though it does contain in-app purchases for in-game currency. Gamers in Australia and New Zealand can download it from the App Store right now.
