Hyundai has rolled out the CarPlay update to even more of its lineup. Beginning May 24 the company welcomes eight new models to the club, joining the 2016 Sonata, 2017 Elantra and 2017 IONIQ. Most of the vehicles were previously eligible for the Android Auto update, and now they can grab the CarPlay one as well.

From MacRumors:

Hyundai is releasing a software update that brings CarPlay support to eight new vehicles, including the 2016 Elantra GT, 2015 and 2016 non-hybrid Sonata, 2017 Santa Fe Sport, 2017 Santa Fe, 2015 and 2016 Genesis Sedan, and the 2016 Tucson.

You can download the update now directly from Hyundai. All you will need is the SD card from your vehicle, and some time. Once the update is downloaded, you'll need to place the card back in your vehicle and walk it through the update process. It should take about 25 minutes, and the car will need to be running while it is doing it.

Do you own any of these vehicles? If so, let us know which one you will be adding CarPlay to in the comments.
