iPad... plates? Eat off a screen at a restaurant in San Francisco!

Yeah, you read that right. Your meal is going to be literally served to you on an iPad showing dogs looking for the exact thing you’re eating off the screen of your iPad/platter.

Rose gold Apple Watch Sport in pictures

This fall Apple has added two new finishes to the Apple Watch Sport case collection: anodized gold and rose gold. Not to be confused with the 18K yellow and rose gold casings of the Apple Watch Edition collection, these are less intense, closer to champagne and rosé, and meant to match the finishes of the iPhone 6s. I've been testing the new rose gold Apple Watch Sport for a few days now, and pairing it with a variety of bands. Here's how it looks so far.

Space Black Apple Watch (steel) in pictures

The Space Black Apple Watch looks and feels like dragon scales, or the Batmobile, or something from Krypton.

Technically Space Black is a diamond-like coating (DLC) on the stainless steel of the Apple Watch, but those are just words and they don't really do justice to how this model turned out. It's darker than it was back in September when Apple showed it off for the first time, and the new tone really does seem like something made of shadow and light. It took a while to ship — even the very first orders didn't arrive for several weeks. But holding it now, I can't help but think it was worth it.

MacBook vs. MacBook Pro vs. MacBook Air in pictures

The new MacBook sports not so much a radical redesign as a radical refinement.

Apple's new MacBook represents nothing more nor less than the next stage of evolution of the laptop, at least how Apple imagines it. With a 12-inch screen, it should be slightly smaller than both the 13-inch MacBooks Pro and Air, but it manages to be much smaller, thinner, and lighter, all while packing in a high-density Retina display.

iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3: A history in pictures

The iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 are the latest in a line of Apple tablets that stretch back to the original, introduced by Steve Jobs in January of 2010. Since then they've gotten lighter, thinner, narrower, and even smaller. The port has changed. The displays have gone Retina. The data speeds have gotten faster and faster. They've gone gold.

It's only when you see them all laid out or stacked before you that you can really appreciate the evolution of the iPad. When you see them like this...

A macro look at the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in micro-fine detail

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are brand new takes on Apple's iconic design. They're bigger, thinner, and their edges are rounded. The camera rises now from the casing even as the screen glides seamlessly into the edge. And the screens have gone from Retina to Retina HD to even denser Retina HD. Combined, how much of a difference does all this make? To find out I grabbed a Canon 5D Mark III and an EF 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro lens, and I shot the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 alongside last year's iPhone 5s at every angle. Enjoy!

From iPhone to iPhone 6 Plus - In pictures!

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are here, and they build on the design foundation Apple has laid since the original shipped in 2007. From then, to the rounded plastic iPhone 3 and iPhone 3GS, to the glass backed iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s, to the taller unibody iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s, to the bigger, rounder, thinner models shipped this year, here's how they all look stacked together. Enjoy!
