Chief White House photographer shows off photos taken with iPhone

Pete Souza, the Chief Official White House Photographer, recently took to blogging service Medium to show off the crop of photos he shot on the iPhone over the course of the year. Each of the photos comes from Souza's Instagram feed, and include glimpses of from around the White House, on Air Force One and more. Souza says that he also uses professional camera equipment for photos taken on the job, but there's a process involved:

My approach to my Instagram feed continues to be all square photos are taken with an iPhone, and full-frame horizontals and verticals are taken with a DSLR (usually a Canon 5DMark3, but I've also posted some from Sony, Nikon and Leica cameras).

Apple has been exuberant in presenting the case for the iPhone's camera prowess, including a big advertising campaign showing off photos shot on iPhone 6. If you take a look at Souza's round-up of his shots around the White House this year, the quality of the photos stands out, further shoring up that case.

In any event, you can head to the source link below to check out Souza's full post, alongside an interesting candid look into life at the White House.
