Evernote joins with many major iPhone and iPad apps with a major update today that adds a number of features to the note taking app, including support for iOS 8, web clipping, a way to unlock the app via Touch ID and more.

Here's the change log on what's new in the 7.5 version, including some features that require a paid Premium subscription to access:

  • Clip content to Evernote from anywhere on your phone from the share menu; Save photos, documents, and web pages as notes; File them in any business or personal notebook
  • Create different kinds of notes from your Notification Center with the new widget

  • Use Touch ID to unlock your passcode-protected account with your finger
  • Rediscover useful content from your account in the Related Notes section
  • Automatically keep business notebooks up to date with push notifications
