Telltale has announced the release of The Walking Dead - 400 Days, new downloadable content (DLC) for the Mac and Windows release of its game based on the popular television and graphic novel series. A release is also planned for iOS.

The Walking Dead video game from Telltale has been highly acclaimed since its release. It's a graphical adventure game that was originally released in serial form, as individual "episodes." Since then it's been released in its entirety as "Season One," and Telltale is working on a "Season 2" sequel. Season 1 followed the story of Lee, an escaped prison convict, and Clementine, a girl he helps along the way.

400 Days departs from Lee and Clem's story - it tells five linked stories from different survivors of the zombie apocalypse, from day one to day 400. Each of the stories can be played in any order you wish and will change based on the choices you make in the game - what's more, the choices you made in the Season 1 game will carry over, and the choices you make in 400 Days will have an effect on Season 2, once it's available.

As DLC, 400 Days is available for purchase within the Walking Dead game - you'll need to have the game before you can download it. And Telltale strongly recommends that players play through all five episodes of Season One before playing 400 Days.
