Facebook Messenger now lets you use 3D Touch to peek at conversations, GIFs and more

Facebook Messenger is now the latest app to expand support for 3D Touch on the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. While the chat app previous supported 3D Touch for launching quick actions from its icon, you can now use the pressure-sensitive feature to peek and pop into conversations and more.

The feature actually works much like it does in Apple's own Messages app, allowing you to either press on your chat partner's avatar to get a quick peek at their contact information, or on the conversation to quickly preview messages without jumping into the full conversation view. You can also use 3D Touch to press to preview photos, videos, stickers, links and locations, Facebook says.

While fairly basic, it's good to see one of the most popular apps finally fully integrate one of the latest headline features to make its way to the iPhone. If you'd like to check it out, you can grab the update now from the App Store link below.
