Facebook starts rolling out 3D Touch peek and pop support to select users

Facebook is continuing to expand its implementation of 3D Touch for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Starting now, some users will be able to use peek and pop to view stories and profiles.

Peek and pop is a part of 3D Touch that allows you to preview a piece of content without leaving your current activity. Lightly press on a Facebook story to peek at it, for instance, then press more firmly to pop into it. This new functionality will work across Facebook's app for links, profiles, Pages, Groups, Events, photos, profile pictures and cover photos. The company will also be adding another quick action to its app icon to take you directly to your timeline.

For now, Facebook will be rolling out peek and pop support to a small subset of users. More users will gain access to the feature over the coming months. Just make sure you have the latest version of the Facebook app installed so you can take advantage of this new feature when it arrives for you.
