Fantastical for iPhone gets 3D Touch support; iPad app adds new multitasking features

Third party calendar app Fantastical has hit version 2.5 on both the iPhone and iPad, adding several new features on both platforms. The iPhone app has picked up support for 3D Touch on Apple's new phones, while the iPad app now features support for Split View and Slide Over multitasking.

With 3D Touch support, Fantastical for iPhone now provides shortcuts right from the app's icon. Additionally, Fantastical also features a brand new watch app for watchOS 2. It has its own complication, improved speed, and a new "go to date" option.

On the iPad, Fantastical supports the new iPad multitasking views on newer iPads. The app has also added support for the keyboard shortcut overlay, which lets you see keyboard commands by holding down the Command key on an external keyboard.

Both apps have added a number of fixes and improvements for iOS 9, along with VoiceOver fixes and an improved week view. You can get both apps from the App Store right now.
