I flew to the other side of Europe this week, and one of the first things I packed, right after my toothbrush and passport, was the AirPods Max.

While I tend to use AirPods Pro around the house and while out walking, the AirPods Max are my travel headphones of choice. They're a little larger and don't fold down, but I still find they're the first headphones from Apple I've used that really drown out the noise on a plane - whether that's engine or passenger noise.

Better yet, the AirPods Max are now just under $400 at Amazon, with the retailer snipping $150 off of the MSRP.

Why AirPods Max?

For that price, you get all the convenience of AirPods, like switching devices automatically and the quickfire pairing on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, but you also get a surprisingly comfortable set of cans.

They are heavy, there's no denying that, but the headband does a good job of mitigating a lot of that weight, while the earcups form a secure but comfortable seal around your ears.

We awarded the AirPods Max 4 stars in our review, with one of the biggest cons being the price. Thankfully, this deal helps mitigate that somewhat.

While I'm still itching to hear more about the next model, these are a fantastic purchase - particularly if you're expecting to do a lot of travelling.

I’m not entirely sure it’s fashionable to admit this, but I love virtual reality. Ever since Palmer Luckey re-ignited the scene with the launch of Oculus (now part of Meta) and the Oculus DK1 headset, I’ve been in the trenches of the VR scene, trying every bit of VR hardware I can get my hands on.

Whether working in VR or gaming in VR, I’m an evangelist for the format, and try to convert as many skeptics to the cause as I can, everywhere I go. Here’s my credentials — in a non-exhaustive list, I’ve tested the following:

That’s just off the top of my head, and doesn’t include random trade-show concepts and prototypes, whatever headsets are in use at the many public VR playrooms that I’ve visited over the years, nor the curio gimmick attempts at virtual reality like the weird Nintendo Switch VR kit.

Of all the headsets on the list, it’s the Quest 2 I’ve spent the most time with — but it is its successor, the Meta Quest 3, that is the one I’d recommend to anyone looking to give VR a whirl.

It offers more bang-for-buck than any other VR headset on the market, and thanks to the Amazon Prime Day sale, it’s now at a superb price — the 128GB model is down to just $429.99 — a serious saving over its usual $499.99 asking price.

What makes Meta Quest 3 special

Lightweight and comfortable for extended play sessions, the Meta Quest 3 is as close to pick-up-and-play as VR gets. A standalone device, it doesn’t require a computer to power, instead running off the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset. That gives it twice the graphical processing grunt over the already-impressive Meta Quest 2, and lets it drive greater-than-4K experiences across its dual screens — 30% sharper than its predecessor.

What separates the Meta Quest 3 from the competition though is its app library. Not only do you have access to more than 500 immersive experiences and games built especially for Meta Quest (including the impressive Asgard’s Wrath 2, Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR and Beat Sabre), but you can also use it to access the many PC VR titles on the market, wirelessly streamed to the headset, massively expanding the available software for the system. That’s before considering the productivity options the Meta Quest 3 offers, with impressive full-color passthrough meaning you’ve good awareness of your surroundings while you work.

Now, I’m hoping by the end of this year I’ll be able to add another VR headset to this list — the Apple Vision Pro (though don’t tell Apple I called its ‘Spatial Computing’ headset a VR device!). It is, without a doubt, the most advanced piece of VR kit I’ve ever tried, with a has-to-be-seen-to-be-believed screen, and the most amazing passthrough and hand-tracking tech I’ve ever used. But! At $3,499, you could buy a Meta Quest 3 many times over for the price of a Vision Pro, and right now, Vision Pro’s app selection just isn’t quite there. With more time, more users following the international roll out, and VisionOS 2 on the way, I’m hoping developers will redress that balance. But for now Apple’s Vision Pro ecosystem has some catching up to do.

In the meantime, the Meta Quest 3 is a remarkable device. And, at its current sale price, it’s offering remarkable value for money, too. 

I’ve got a confession to make – I may be editor of an Apple-focused website, but I’m still rocking the Apple Watch Series 7 that launched back in 2021. While the world around me has jumped to the luxurious Apple Watch Ultra or Apple Watch Ultra 2, I’ve stood by my stalwart timepiece.

But that might all change today — Amazon’s Prime Day Apple Watch deals have seen a new lowest-ever price reached for the top-tier Apple Watch Ultra 2. 

It’s down to just $699.99 — $100 and 12% off its usual $799 retail price.

Previously I’ve held fire on making the upgrade leap — I’m only a casual sports enthusiast, I’m not a great swimmer, and being city-based the Watch Ultra 2’s hiking features are often lost on me. 

But with Apple Intelligence (the company’s big AI push) on the horizon, I’m ready to make the jump. Though the Apple Watch isn’t set to be the first port of call for Apple’s artificial intelligence features, I think the Ultra 2 might eventually be the perfect home for it. A wrist-based AI assistant sounds like the dream always-ready use-case for AI, and the Ultra’s bigger screen, paired with the potential for an AI-conjuring Action button loaded up with Apple Intelligence shortcuts, might make for the smartest wearable there’s ever been. At this price, it might be time to lay down the cash.

Time for an all-time low

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is Apple’s most-premium smartwatch. Ruggedized for outdoor activity, it was introduced in September 2023, meaning it’s still among Apple’s newest wearables — even if an Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to arrive before the end of the year. The early rumors point to a minor upgrade for the timepiece, so bagging a big saving now won’t necessarily leave you with buyer’s remorse come September.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 has solid specs regardless. As standard, it offers 36 hours of battery life, but you can squeeze out 72 hours in Low Power Mode. That’s why it’s become the go-to for outdoor pursuits where a power supply might not be readily available — and helps it perform in life-or-death scenarios. With a faster S9 chip and brighter screen, it was a worthy upgrade over its first-gen predecessor.

As a relatively recent release, it’ll be all set to receive the watchOS 11 update when it launches (usually in the fall), so you’ll get new features for some time to come. 

Just be aware that not every combination of size and watch band gets discounted during Amazon’s sales, so make sure to carefully check if the discount is applicable to the Ultra 2 set you’re after. 

Smart locks are not only great for keeping your home more secure but also excellent for those moments where you’ve forgotten your keys. No more calling a locksmith or your landlord when your front door accidentally closes behind you, simply put your thumb against the fingerprint scanner or pop open the app and let yourself back in. Now, with the Aqara U100 being $40 off on Amazon Prime Day, you can get a more secure home for even cheaper. 

What makes the Aqara U100 work so well for Apple fans is it comes with Apple HomeKit compatibility out of the box, being able to open it with nothing but your Apple Watch or iPhone. Even if both devices run out of power, you have other ways of getting into the lock so it functions like normal when your setup is a little less smart. 

Now is the perfect time to make the upgrade with this deal, and as it’s HomeKit compatible, you can fit it into the rest of your Apple-oriented smart home setup with ease. 

No need for keys anymore

The deal we’ve picked out comes bundled with the E1 smart hub for free, which easily allows you to set up automations with ecosystems. This way, you can easily connect it to a smart doorbell, like the Aqara G4, to let visitors in easily. With different codes for different people, this smart lock can fit into your smart home by setting scenes for specific people. If you tend to get back in the early morning, you can set your lock to make sure your house heats up when you come in. With the ever-rising size of AAA games nowadays, I find myself constantly running out of storage to hold more than a few at a time. Unfortunately, as someone who likes to have a single-player open-world title go through, a multiplayer arcade game, and tons of indies on the go at the same time, this causes me to run out of storage quickly. Then, when you factor in that new games release every single day, I fear I’ll never catch up on my backlog. 

Luckily, a dedicated gaming hard drive not only has the performance capabilities to run games like they are running on internal storage but it gives me tonnes of room to write songs, make videos, and more. If you wanted to run Ark: Survival Evolved on your Mac with all of its DLC, that would require 400GB of space to be free on your device — significantly more than many MacBooks even have. With this hard drive, you could fit the huge dinosaur survival game 20 times — a truly phenomenal number. 

If you plan on using it on a console as well as a Mac, you can do so easily, though I’d recommend reformatting it for PlayStation before using it in any other way. It can only run PlayStation 4 games on PlayStation 5 but this is more than enough to start seriously getting through a backlog. Of course, it doesn’t just work with games. I use it to edit videos and record music and I’ve had no problems in all my time testing it. It’s a great piece of kit that is made even better with this great deal. 

The Apple Pencil is one of the greatest selling points of the iPad and for good reason. Feeling great in the hands, and allowing budding artists to create digital artwork to their heart's content, it’s a very smart little tool. If you have been using your M1 iPad Air or M2 iPad Pro for a while and don’t see the need to upgrade just yet, the Apple Pencil 2 is the perfect pencil for you. 

Now at $50 off in an early Prime Day deal, this is the best way to get drawing on your iPad and makes Apple’s finest even cheaper than the best Apple Pencil alternatives. It’s an absolute steal that won’t hang around for long. 

A deal worth writing home about

As well as being able to charge magnetically, Apple Pencil 2 can connect to your iPad and stick to the very top, making it great for taking out and about. It also has a really great double-tap feature where you can hit the tip with your finger to swap between the current brush in your image editing software to the previous one you used. If you find yourself erasing lines often, this will come in very handy. 

Before you commit to this Apple Pencil, make sure to note which iPad you have. This doesn’t work with the latest generation of iPad but will work with many generations prior.

Creating music is an incredibly freeing process. A great way to both get your feelings down and cheer yourself up, it can be nice to have a finished product that expresses yourself better than words can. With a good music production setup, you can not only hear songs back as intended but show them to the rest of the world. 

Apple gear is some of the very best in the world for music producers, thanks to excellent software like Logic Pro and Garageband, but also because of how nice Apple’s hardware is. As well as all of this, the Apple ecosystem means that you can work on projects across multiple devices with ease. Once you have one piece of Apple hardware, you can immediately start making music.

Produce at home for cheap

Apple’s refurbished store is a great way of buying Apple items for a cheaper price, and it’s better for the environment. Unfortunately, the store’s newest addition isn’t beating Amazon in price, and likely won’t any time soon.  

You can grab a refurbished USB-C Apple Pencil from the Apple Store right now for $69, which is $10 below the retail price. However, with Amazon Prime Day just around the corner, starting on July 16, you can get it brand new from Amazon for the same price. As refurbished products don’t tend to go on sale, given they are already reduced, this means the refurbished Apple Pencil will regularly end up being more expensive than buying the product new.

Though it is missing some special features present in the Apple Pencil 2 and Apple Pencil Pro, such as pressure sensitivity, the USB-C Apple Pencil is a good device for any budding iPad user thanks to its great price point and excellent compatibility. It is currently the most versatile Apple Pencil you can buy, working on the best iPads out there. 

The difference between a refurbished and a new Apple product

Generally speaking, refurbished and new are very similar products at the Apple Store. The company replaces batteries in its products, ensuring a very similar battery life and experience to a new device, and fixes any cracks or scuffs. It should be almost imperceievably different from a new one. However, buying new from Amazon gives you next-day shipping and some new products can come with better, more reliable warranties. 

As well as all of this, you can’t get custom engravings on refurbished products. If you buy a new Apple Pencil from the Apple Store, you can get something written on it to signify the drawing pen is yours. This is a nice touch that makes an Apple Pencil a great gift.

You can also put an AirTag in Lost Mode should the need arise so you receive an alert the moment it appears on the Find My network once again.

Other features of note include a built-in speaker so you can have your AirTag make a noise for easier identification and a battery that lasts for around a year before it needs to be replaced.

My iPhone 15 Pro Max is one of my most precious devices. Until last year, I never really saw much of a difference between iPhone cases but, after spending nine months trying dozens of them out, here are my favorite choices and what made them stand out.

There are so many good AirPods out there to choose from, with some of these being at their lowest-ever price. If you pick one up now, with Amazon’s next-day delivery, you will be able to listen to Apple’s WWDC conference from your new pair of AirPods next week. 

If you’re looking for something to get the most out of the best Macbooks, Samsung’s ViewFinity S6 has just seen a steep drop in its price, making right now the perfect time to get that second monitor. However, this isn’t just a great second monitor, it’s also the perfect first choice, thanks to realistic color, built-in speakers, and a multitude of other extra features. 

Right now at Amazon, you can pick up the ViewFinity S6 for $350 off its original price — a 44% discount. This is the lowest ever price we’ve seen for this monitor and an absolute steal if you’re in the market for a new one. A great monitor deal

Though not 4K, the QHD resolution is sure to impress, and a mixture of a 100HZ refresh rate and AMD FreeSync make it surprisingly good for gaming. If you’re looking to play the best Mac games, this is an excellent way to do so. With built-in speakers, you won’t even need to buy anything to get sound out of your media. 

Perhaps the most interesting part of this monitor is the curved screen. Apart from just looking cool, you get a better field of view in games, less screen glare, and it can be a bit more comfortable to stare at, especially as they start to get to the bigger sizes. 

After years of waiting, the next set of iPads is almost here, and they look amazing. However, if their higher price points are putting you off upgrading one sale at Walmart makes a great argument for the last generation. 

The new iPad Pro 2024 and iPad Air 2024 are both excellent upgrades this year but their higher price points make them more of an investment. Now that the older 5th generation Air has been discontinued by Apple, many retailers are selling out of their stock of the older iPad Air model and, if you get there quick enough, you can take advantage with an excellent deal. For just $399, you can get a relatively recent iPad that still performs excellently now. I should know — it’s been my main tablet for the last six months.

Though the iPad Air 2024 has better base storage, a new 13-inch model, and the M2 chip, these are the central differences between the old and new generation tablets. If you want something portable with enough power to run a video editor or some productivity apps, this is an excellent choice, especially at that price point. Given the iPad Air 6 starts at $599, this reduction makes for a $200 difference between the two tablets. That leaves just enough to get the Apple Pencil 2 or almost any of the best accessories for iPad Air 5 with the change. If you’re looking for an upgrade or want to buy an iPad for the first time, this is a great way to do so. 

So the latest iPads have been revealed at Apple’s Let Loose event, and we have a clear picture of what the iPad Pro models are going to look like. Those new OLED panels are looking particularly juicy, and the M4 chips brought a spicy surprise to proceedings that we only had any clue about a few weeks before the announcement itself.

But now that we know what the new 11-inch and 13-inch iPads are going to look like, we’re left asking one very important question — where can I get one, and when?

This year has been a big one for the iPad Pro, with a whole bunch of updates to the 11-inch and 12.9-inch tables. First of all is the M4 chip — and what a surprise that we’re getting the newest chip option rather than the tried and tested M3! These are super powerful chips, featuring some wicked powerful internals, including an extra couple of efficiency cores, and an improved neural engine for the most powerful AI chip out there.

The screens too have had some attention paid to them, with that Ultra Retina XDR OLED upgrade. That will make the blacks more black and the colors on the screen pop even more using some very snazzy display tech. While the displays haven’t grown this year, the upgrade to OLED is a welcome one that marks a leap in display technology that we haven’t seen for some time.

Not just that, but there's that fancy new Apple Pencil Pro — that will work out of the box with the new iPad Pro models, and bring new gestures like spinning and squeezing for a more useful stylus. We'll even let you know where to preorder an Apple Pencil Pro.

The front-facing camera has now moved as well, as it is now found on the horizontal edge of the device for better face time calls.

The chip inside is the other big upgrade this time around, with an upgrade to the M2 chip from last year's MacBook Air. That will undoubtedly make the new iPad a super slick device to use, and powerful enough for some more demanding tasks.

The new Apple Pencil

While it might look familiar on the outside, there are some key upgrades to the Pencil on the inside that make it a great upgrade over the previous model. For one, there are all the new gestures, thanks to some new sensors in the barrel of the Pencil. There's a squeezing sensor, for one, and that will let you select various options and menus with a quick squeeze. There's a new haptic motor as well, which will tell you when a gesture has registered in the pencil.

The Pencil will click to the side of the iPad with Magnets, and then charge and connect like that.

Have you been looking to upgrade your old device to one of the best MacBooks but don't quite want to pay the full retail price? One deal at Best Buy can give you a whopping $150 off, with enough left over to get yourself a nice case for it too.

The M2 MacBook Air, still an excellent device, is a pretty great $300 off, making it just $1,199. If you want something in between those two choices, the recently released M3 MacBook Air is just $999. No matter which device you go for, Best Buy offers an excellent upgrade path from your current device.

The Amazon Big Spring Sale is well underway, and if you’re anything like me you’ve spent the last couple of days scouring the site for some great deals. You’ve likely then, again like me, found that there aren’t all that many tempting offers on the tech that you want, instead being presented with sales on T-shirts and home appliances. It’s light on the tech savings that have made Amazon’s seasonal discounts so alluring in the first place — all well and good if you’re looking to spruce up your wardrobe, but we want headphones, we want smart home devices, we want MacBooks.

There are some deals worth looking at — I’ve already talked about the best 10 from the scraps on offer — but you’ll actually find some much better deals if you look over at Amazon’s competitors, who seem to be more up for a price war than Bezos’s store at the moment. 

And that’s what I’ve done. I’ve searched through all the major alternative retailers to Amazon and found some incredible deals that you should be looking at instead of wasting your time scouring Amazon’s sale.

MacBook Pro

• MacBook Pro M3 Pro | $1,999 $1,799 at B&H Photo

If you head over to B&H Photo at the moment, you’ll find some great deals on MacBooks. Our pick of the bunch is $200 off the M3 Pro model, for a wicked saving on one of the best MacBooks that you can get. It’s not just that specific model that gets a discount, however — you can spec up a MacBook to get just the right machine for you, and still make a saving.

While we’d recommend the M3 model for most people, those with more demanding workloads might want to pack their MacBooks with more powerful internals. The best bit? At the moment, B&H Photo has money off the laptops when you customize to your chosen specifications, so it doesn’t matter whether you’re buying the base model, or one with 7 million gigabytes of RAM or an SSD with enough space to fit the whole internet. The discounts do change slightly with different specs, so watch the discount while you build your MacBook.

MacBook Pros aren’t even in stock on Amazon at the moment, so you’re not going to save money on one at all, Big Spring Sale or no Big Spring Sale. There are similar discounts at Best Buy, although we prefer the configurator at B&H Photo.

LG C3 OLED

• LG C3 OLED 77-inch | $2,699 $2,299 at Best Buy

There’s no better way to watch the best movies on Apple TV Plus than with a massive, OLED TV — and this one is considered among the best TVs you can buy. This enormous 77-inch TV is made by LG (which, it turns out, makes most of the OLED panels that go into other manufacturers' TVs, for your interesting Fact of the Day), and comes with a feature list that would make a TV salesman blush.

It runs on LG's proprietary OS, and lets you hook up an Apple TV 4K box with the HDMI ports at the back. 120Hz refresh rate means that your games are going to look super smooth and slick, whether playing on a high-end console or one of the best Apple Arcade games, while the 4K resolution is crisp and clear for some stunning movie nights. The OLED panel allows for some incredible black levels, and while it might not be as bright as some of the LCD or Mini LED  options available,  few other screens offer as luxurious a viewing experience. 

$400 off is nothing to sniff at either, and while it’s a similar price at Amazon, you’ll get free installation in your home with Best Buy — no need to worry about mounting it on the wall or dropping its enormous 77-inch display.

MacBook Air M1

• MacBook Air M1 | $899 $699 at Walmart

The MacBook Air M1 is now no longer made by Apple, but that just means that retailers are discounting the price of remaining stock by hundreds of dollars. One of the best deals we’ve seen on the MacBook Air is this one at Walmart, which makes for the lowest price that the laptop has ever been. While it might not be the most powerful MacBook that money can buy anymore, it’s definitely one of the best looking, and perfect for anyone who doesn’t need loads of processing chops.

The M1 processor is still powerful enough to get you through everyday computing, and the 8GB of RAM is plenty for multitasking. If you’re looking for one of the best MacBooks for students, then this could well be it, with a super portable chassis that slips into a bag without issue and is perfect for taking notes in a lecture or class.

Now, if you’re looking for a more powerful MacBook Air, then you should head over to Best Buy where you can find the M2 MacBook Air 15-inch for $300 off. That gives you a more powerful processor, a bigger screen, and the more modern looks of a 2023 model MacBook Air.

Lambs are a frolicking in the fields, fluffy chicks are bursting forth from their shell prisons, and the Easter bunny is (we presume, anyway) preparing chocolate eggs that last approximately ten minutes after they’ve been opened — that’s right, it’s Spring! And with Spring comes Amazon with another sales event, dropping the prices on loads of different items.

This time the event is called the Big Spring Sale, and while the deals might not be as plentiful as they might be for one of Amazon’s other sales throughout the year, there are still some big savings to be had. There’s a big bonus this time around as well: You don’t need to be a Prime member to enjoy the savings.

Now, I've covered Amazon sales for longer than I care to admit, and I’ve gained a certain set of skills — a certain set of skills that I can put to good use so that you can find some of the best prices and deals for you. I asked myself a question this time around; if I were to buy any of the items in Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, what would I actually put my money down for? Here are the ten items you should actually buy in Amazon's Big Spring Sale.

Sonos Move 2

Sonos makes some of my favorite smart speakers, and the Move 2 is the most portable of the line. I gave it four and a half stars in my review, where the only real downside to the speaker was the price — something which has plummeted in the Amazon Big Spring Sale. At the moment there’s a $70 saving on the Move 2, which brings the price down to $359. That makes the portable speaker finally less than Sonos’ excellent Era 300, making for the perfect pre-summer barbecue music purchase.

I love my Move 2, and it’s become my defacto ‘grab and go’ speaker when I’m moving around the house, working in the garden, or going for a picnic. Battery life is a wicked 24 hours, sound quality is stellar, and it looks good too. While it might not be the cheapest Bluetooth speaker that money can buy, it offers enough excellent sound quality and sturdy build to make it well worth the asking price.

1More Sonoflow

Most of the best deals in this year’s Big Spring Sale are on audio gear, and this deal on the already well-priced 1More Sonoflow is a belter. They’re usually only $96, but with $32 off they’re now only $64. That’s a great price for a pair of headphones that got 5 stars in my review, where I called them “the best headphones for under $100”. While there is more competition for that title now, these are still some of the best budget headphones that I ever slipped over my ears.

They might not be built like the AirPods Max, but they pump out some of the best sound that you’ll find in a pair of headphones that cost under $150. They are comfortable, stylish, and the hard case that comes included in the box is a seriously impressive addition that makes them a more compelling option than even some of the more expensive options. This deal brings them down to the lowest price they’ve ever been, so there’s really been no better time to get some of iMore’s favorite budget cans. The black and grey version would be my color preference, although they are also available in a silver and grey combo.

eufyCam S220 4 pack

If you’re looking for a way to start getting some of the best HomeKit security cameras in your house, then this option from eufy is going to be a great purchase over the Spring Sale. There’s over $200 off the full price for a start, so you’ll get a full set of outdoor security cameras for only $319. We’ve reviewed eufy’s eufyCam before, and we gave it four stars, citing the non-removable batteries and the slightly confusing setup process as things to watch out for when picking one up.

This set of cameras includes four camera units and a eufy hub so that you get them all connected up and use them with HomeKit Secure video. They’re one of those things that you didn’t know you’d use so much until you actually use them, and see how they can help you secure your house beyond just locking the door. They act as a deterrent for one, and they let you see recordings from around your house should something untoward happen. They do require some fitting around the house and you’ll have to charge them every four months or so if you don’t wire them in, but they’re a great way to add some peace of mind to your home.

Soundcore Motion X600

More audio gear in the Spring Sale, and this time it’s my favorite portable Spatial Audio speaker from Soundcore, the Motion X600. It’s a slick piece of retro design that packs in some great features for a lower price than the competition — and it's a price that’s even lower at the moment. There’s a $50 saving at the moment, making the usually $200 speaker now only $150. For that price, you’re not only getting a very solidly built device, but one with some impressive sound quality with the added bonus of Spatial Audio.

Now, while that Spatial Audio might not be as good as that found on the likes of the HomePod 2 or the Sonos Era 300, it’s a welcome addition that really stretches the soundstage to make it a more engaging listen. There’s loads of bass on offer as well, and crisp highs that make the speaker a lovely thing to port about. It’s not light, however, so you might want to look elsewhere if you’re after something you can take hiking or on long walks. You know who’d love one, in fact? Your Dad.

Sony WH-1000XM4

My opinion about Sony’s exemplary range of noise-canceling headphones is, I have recently learned, a controversial one. As much as the latest and more expensive WH-1000XM5 headphones are excellent, you shouldn’t buy them. No, instead, you should save your money and get the very almost as good but far cheaper Sony WH-1000XM4. They are more comfortable, the case is better, the noise canceling is still excellent, and the sound is pretty much on par with the newer version.

I’ve had a pair of the WH-1000XM4 for years now, and they are about as battered and bruised as a pair of headphones that get tossed in a bag could be. They’ve been to university, to music festivals, on the train, in a car, on the bus, almost lost on the London Tube — and they still don’t miss a beat. They’re $200 cheaper than the more expensive and much newer WH-1000XM5 at the moment, and they are by far and away the better bet if you’re looking for some new headphones. You can buy a pair for $248 instead of $349 at the moment.

Samsung 49-inch odyssey

So I like to have as much screen as possible available to use at my desk — I currently have a combined 80” of display sat at my desk (that’s spread over three different monitors, not just one big TV screen inches from my face). I love the idea of having all the space wrapped up in one, ultrawide screen, and Samsung's frankly terrifying 49-inch Ultrawide monster seems to be exactly what I’m looking for. 

For $899, you’re getting one of the biggest monitors diagonally that has been produced so far. It’s like having two normal-sized ultra wides stacked next to each other, only you’ll need one cable plugged into your MacBook Pro instead of two. Or three. Or however many screens you normally have plugged in, you crazy cat. If you want to go even crazier then you could always plug in another 49-inch alongside this one. Or another one. Or maybe even four! Now I’m getting ideas… Ideas that likely aren’t going to fit on my desk, or slide past the payment protection systems on my bank. The one that says I don’t have almost $4000 for monitors.

Belkin Boostcharge Pro

While the battery in my iPhone 15 Pro Max is generally plenty to get me through the day, I sometimes find that longer trips need more juice to keep me going. Maybe the hotel I’m staying at doesn’t have plugs because it’s a relic from the 1970s, maybe I’ve gone camping, or maybe I left my plug adapter at home —  either way, I need some battery power. I keep my Belkin BoostCharge charger in my bag at all times, charging it up to make sure it’s topped up for my trips. That way I can be sure that no matter where I go, I am sure to have just the right amount of battery power.

This battery bank from Belkin is more than just a great way of getting some more juice in your phone, as it has a built-in charging pad for your Apple Watch as well. It might not be the biggest battery in the world, but it’s enough to charge them both at least once. I love mine, and its small size means that I can even slip it into my pocket when I know I’m going to be using loads of battery power. Anker MagGo MagSafe 3-in-1 stand

You know what really does my head in? Cables on my nightstand. I like to keep things fairly minimal next to my bed. Space for my devices to charge, a light, space for my book, and room for a glass of water should I wake up in the middle of the night with the need for some liquid. It feels like charging cables are a necessary evil when you want to charge your devices, and so I must live with the cable mess when I go to bed. Thankfully, however, that’s not the case: And this Anker MagSafe charging stand is evidence to the fact.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen an audio device on the list hasn’t it? Well, three entries, at least. This one is another portable speaker, only this time it's from the audio wizards at Bose. Known for making some seriously impressive speakers and headphones as well as high-end car stereos, Bose devices are good-looking, and even better sounding. This, the Soundlink Revolve, is Bose’s portable WiFi speaker bringing epic sound quality and some extra goodies wherever you might want to take it.

This is the Series II version of the speaker, and you can currently save $60 off one at Amazon for a price of $159. That’s a great price on a Bose speaker, and it’s well worth putting one in the basket if you’re looking for a portable speaker. There’s 360-degree sound on board so that you can hear the music no matter where you’re standing around the speaker, and its 13-hour battery life will be plenty to get you through a pool party or a picnic in the countryside. There’s only one downside to the Soundlink Revolve a micro USB port. Come on Bose, it's 2024!

Tile Pro 4 Pack

Last on the list is something that will make it easier to track your stuff. The AirTag might be the Apple way to track your things, but there are loads of excellent AirTag alternatives — and the Tile Pro is one of the best. They’re bigger than the AirTags, but they are cheaper and they feature built-in keychain connectors so that you can carry them around with your keys. They connect to your phone and they work as an item locator with a range of 400ft of range. If they go over that, they connect to the Tile network so that you can accurately track them with the Tile app.

A pack of four is currently $20 off at Amazon, making them $79 instead of $99. That’s a decent saving, and nets you enough to attach to all your most treasured possessions. I love my trackers, although I’ve just sellotaped it to the back of the TV remote. Game changer, I tell you. Never lost it since.

If you are looking for a super powerful yet equally portable laptop, Apple’s MacBook Air combines excellent specs with a super light feel to fit in almost any situation. Now, with a whopping $300 off the retail price at Best Buy, the 15-inch M2 MacBook Air has never looked better. 

This gives you enough off to get some of the best Mac accessories too like a brand new hard drive, AirPods Pro 2, or a nice MacBook sleeve. At 15 inches, this MacBook is fantastic for browsing the internet, watching videos, and even playing some games.

M2 MacBook Air is now $300 off

The M2 MacBook Air is the ultimate productivity device thanks to good specs, a great keyboard, and fantastic battery life. Given there is no M3 model of the MacBook Air, this is the best processor you will find in an Air model and it shows in its performance. 

Though the smaller 8GB of RAM might seem a little low in comparison to its competitors, it is specifically designed for Apple machines, making it much more efficient with less raw power than your average Windows laptop. If you’re worried the RAM will hold you back, you could always upgrade to the 16GB model, which is also $300 off at Best Buy and comes with double the storage. If you order now, you can get it shipped by as early as next week.

Now that the holiday season is underway and we are approaching the end of the year, a few excellent deals have gone live on Amazon, making it the perfect time to get all those devices and accessories to complement your 2024 resolutions.

I bought my first Apple Watch only a few years ago, yet the value of it has been immeasurable in my life thanks to its great health trackers, built-in timers and calendar, and the ability to see messages easily.

While the M1 iPad Air is over a year old now, it’s still one of the best iPads around with some impressive specs, a slick screen, and all the trappings you could ever want in a tablet. Now, just days before Amazon’s Big Deals Day, you can get it for just $499, its lowest price.

With Prime’s next sales event just around the corner, we can’t see this deal staying for long. Originally launching at $599, you’re getting a whole lot of iPad for a lot less cash than usual.

The M1 iPad Air 5 is a fantastic bit of kit, boasting an impressive 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display for much crisper and brighter visuals. Those of us not blessed with the painter's touch can enjoy better-looking Netflix, and crisp graphics when playing games.

If you are going to pick it up, it is worth paying attention to the big Prime Deals Days to get yourself an accompanying case and pen. We are expecting to see reductions in pretty much every area and cases are a prime target for a sale. 

All of the attention might be on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 right now, but the original Apple Watch Ultra is still a great option and right now you can pick one up for a song if you're quick.

The Apple Watch Ultra would normally retail for around $800, but if you order one right now you'll pay just $699.99 for a range of bands and colors, with one in particular currently selling for even cheaper.

Bargain Apple Watch Ultra

Every Apple Watch Ultra has a 49mm case and big display for easy reading when working out and enjoying the great outdoors. The included cellular modem helps with that as well, meaning you don't have to take your iPhone everywhere if you don't want to. You'll need to get a cellular plan of course, but it could be well worth it for some people.

Other features include extra long battery life that ensures you'll go for around 36 hours between charges, while the usual array of sensors and apps are available.

Amazon says that this is the best price the Apple Watch Ultra has been available for in at least the last 30 days and it's a great way to get into one of the best Apple Watches for less.

While the MacBook Air M1 is starting to get a little bit long in the tooth, this deal is one that's well worth taking a look at. There's $250 off full price at Best Buy, bringing the laptop down to its lowest price ever, leaving you enough to pick up some brand new AirPods Pro or save up towards your next big iPhone upgrade.

With a beefy processor, 256 GB of SSD storage, and a stunning 13-inch retina display, the M1 MacBook Air comes in at an impressive 2.8 pounds — making it an excellent choice for working from a cafe or bringing with you to a friend’s house. 

The M1 MacBook Air comes with 8GB of unified RAM, 2 Thunderbolt 3 connectors, up to 18 hours of battery life, and a useful backlit keyboard. The 720p front-facing camera and built-in microphone make it good for video calls and the unified RAM is great for multitasking. 

Should you buy an M1 MacBook Air?

At its full, $999 retail price, we’d advise going for something a bit pricier to get a nicer CPU and better performance but, at $749, this is an excellent deal worth taking advantage of. It blows away its competition at this price point and is still a very nice machine three years after its launch. You will get better performance out of the rather great M2 MacBook Air but, for $200 more, it’s likely not worth putting down the extra cash. 

You could wait for the inevitable launch of the M3 MacBook generation, but we don’t have a concrete date there just yet and you will likely pay quite a lot more than the deal we’ve mentioned above. If you’re in the market for a new MacBook and don’t want to spend through the nose, this is the deal to go for.

Amazon Prime Day is now on its second day, and the deals just keep rolling in. There are still some wicked Prime Day iPhone deals live as well, with some super cheap ways of getting a new iPhone in your pocket.
