HBO Now gets picture-in-picture and Spotlight support on iOS 9

HBO has updated the app for its Now standalone streaming service with support for iOS 9. In addition to general support, you now have the ability to search HBO's content using Spotlight on your iPhone and iPad. Additionally, HBO Now supports iOS 9's picture-in-picture mode on the iPad, allowing you to keep watching no matter what app you're using.

HBO Now 1.3 brings the following changes and fixes:

  • Released compatibility support for iOS 9
  • Optimized for accessibility of HBO content in Apple universal spotlight search
  • Introduced Picture in Picture functionality
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and stability improvements
