Instapaper gains 3D Touch support, gets ready for the iPad Pro

Instapaper, the popular read-it-later service has updated its iPhone and iPad app, adding full support for 3D Touch, both with quick actions as well as peek and pop. The app has also added support for the upcoming iPad Pro, optimizing for the 12.9-inch display.

Instapaper 7.1 also resolves and fixes a number of issues. Check the list below for the complete set of changes:

  • Added Quick Action support! You can now 3D Touch the Instapaper icon on your homescreen to get shortcuts into Instapaper. Your shortcuts can be customized in Settings.
  • Added 3D Touch support so links can now be previewed directly from the reading view.
  • Support for iPad Pro.
  • Resolved issues that caused Alex Voice to not play properly, Alex voice is now the default text-to-speech voice if it has been downloaded.
  • Dim image thumbnails in night mode.
  • Fixed issue that caused some images to be displayed on the wrong cells.
  • Other minor bug fixes and enhancements.

Instapaper 7.1 is available on the App Store now.
