Khan Academy for iPad picks up interactive exercises in latest update

If you or your kids are looking to brush up on some educational topics, Khan Academy has just added over 150,000 educational exercises to its official iPad app. The popular education app previously only provided access to thousands of free videos and articles. However, the addition of exercises brings a more interactive experience for hands-on learners.

Here's a rundown of what's new in Khan Academy for iPad:

  • Sharpen your skills: over 150,000 interactive, Common Core aligned math exercises are included with instant feedback and step-by-step hints. Follow along with what you're learning in school or practice at your own pace.

  • Flex your muscles: the app adjusts to give you interactive exercise recommendations that are tailored just for you through the world of math.

  • Show your work: the app harnesses the power of writing down your thoughts as you problem-solve with a beautiful, expansive scratchpad. Once you have your answer, just write it in, and we'll recognize your handwriting (powered by MyScript)!

  • Track your learning: your learning auto-magically syncs between your iPad and, so your progress and recommendations are always up-to-date, anywhere, anytime.

The integration with Common Core is certainly a welcome addition for students in states that have adopted such standards. Of course, all of this is in addition to the over 5,000 videos and numerous articles to which Khan Academy already provided access.
