Kindle for iPhone and iPad updated with Book Browser, Goodreads, and more

Amazon's Kindle app for iPhone and iPad has been updated to version 4.6 with a number of important new features, including Book Browser, Goodreads integration, and more. It's now also easier to get book details, get information on a series, and more.

Book Browser is a new feature specific to the iPad which allows you to browse available for download from the Kindle Store. While you won't be able to buy books, you can download samples. If you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, you can download whole books from the Browser and start reading right away.

Kindle on iPhone and iPad now has integration with Goodreads. Share your thoughts and place in a book with fellow Goodreads users by signing into your account. Then, while reading just tap the page you're on and tap the Goodreads logo next to the typeset controls.

You can also get more information on what you're reading, and start listening to the audio version of a book much faster. You can now see information on the next book in a series you're reading. You can also get more information on books in your library by long-pressing on a book cover and tapping Book Details. Audible audiobooks will now start playing while they download, meaning you don't have to wait to start listening.

Kindle for iOS version 4.6 is available for download on the App Store right now.
