Microsoft releases Office for iPad updates to support multitasking

Microsoft has updated its Office suite of apps for the iPad. The company has made it so its productivity offering is ready for the multitasking capabilities being introduced in iOS 9. There's also enhanced support for the new Apple Pencil too. We're looking at new versions of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. Prepare to get copy and pasting!

As was previously shared by Microsoft, there's much more to these updates than simply multitasking. There are new keyboard shortcuts with an overview cheat sheet that can be easily accessed by hitting the Command key on an external keyboard, a mirrored UI for Arabic and Hebrew languages, as well as support for Vietnamese.

Update: OneNote for iOS has also been updated for iOS 9 with support for multitasking, the Spotlight feature and the upcoming Apple Pencil.
