Sick and tired of having to wake up your iPhone to control playback on MixRadio? We are too, but luckily the team over at MixRadio have somehow read our thoughts as the latest release of the official iOS app adds support for Apple Watch. It's now possible to manipulate playback without even grabbing your iPhone.

As well as the added support, which is pretty major, the company has worked on making sure the listening experience is interrupted less by disruptions in signal or wireless connectivity. Gone are the days when music suddenly ceases to play. Here's what is new in version 1.4:

  • Added support for Apple Watch. You can now control playback, like and dislike tracks, and start My Mix direct from your wrist.
  • We'll automatically offline My Mix so you'll never be without music (download only happens over Wi-Fi).
  • If you completely lose your network connection when streaming a mix, we'll start playing an offline mix to keep the music flowing.

As well as the above changes, MixRadio have also worked on squashing reported bugs and improving overall performance of the app. You can download the latest version from the App Store right now.
