view source

The launch of iOS 8 is inspiring some app developers to do some cool things. One of them is Paul Hudson who has just released an app called View Source that allows Safari users to finally check out the source code for websites.

The 99 cent app gives users the ability to view website source code in the same way that Windows and Mac PC owners have had for years. The app also includes an iOS 8 Safari extension. The View Source description states:

As an app, you can enter a URL and immediately see the source code behind it. As an extension, it's even easier: just browse the web in Safari as you normally would, and if you want to view the source for your current page just tap the Action icon and choose View Source. You can then either copy the text to your pasteboard for use in other apps, or send it as an email.

Hudson writes that the app has been optimized for iOS 8-compatible devices, including the upcoming iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. What is your opinion of this interesting app?
