Periscope now lets you stream live from your GoPro

Periscope, the live streaming app owned by Twitter, has been updated to let you stream right from your GoPro. With this feature, you can switch between your iPhone's camera and your GoPro with just a double-tap.

Once you're live, you can double tap to switch between your GoPro and iPhone cameras. There's also a new button that locks your phone screen, so nothing is accidentally pressed while it's safely in your pocket.

You'll connect your GoPro and iPhone over Wi-Fi, so you'll be streaming to Periscope over your phone's data connection, and you can probably expect to use about 500MB an hour. In order to take advantage of this new capability, you will need a GoPro Hero 4, the company's latest version of the Hero camera line. You can find Periscope 1.3.3 on the App Store now.
