Alongside the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, Apple also announced the impressive new Retina iMac and a long awaited update to the Mac Mini. U.S. pricing was announced at the event but now the Apple Store is back up and running we know what they're going to cost in the UK.

The Retina iMac is going to cost you £1,999 just to have one. When you start ticking those option boxes that'll soon go up, and we've seen one priced as high as £3,500+. You can order one right this second and it'll be despatched to you within 3-5 working days.

While the new iMac occupies the higher end of the price scale, the new Mac Mini inhabits the opposite. There are three models to choose from with the lowest priced costing £399. For that you get the 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Hand over £569 and you'll get a 2.6GHz Core i5, 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive with Intel Iris graphics. The top priced model is available from £799 with a 2.8GHz Core i5, 8GB of RAM and a 1TB Fusion Drive with Intel Iris graphics.

All will allow you to spec up on the RAM and internal storage with a 3.0GHz Intel Core i7 upgrade available on all but the lowest priced model. They'll all be pre-loaded with OS X Yosemite and are available to order now with a despatch time of 1-3 working days.
