Shadowrun: Dragonfall, the first expansion pack for Harebrained Schemes' turn-based tactical role playing game Shadowrun Returns, will be released on February 27, 2014, the company has revealed. It's already available for pre-order on Steam (Shadowrun Returns runs on OS X, Windows and Linux).

Shadowrun Returns is a new installment of the legendary role playing game franchise that originated on tabletops as a pen-and-paper RPG published by FASA Corp. The game's developer, Harebrained Schemes, raised the money to develope the game through a campaign on the popular crowdfunding site Kickstarter.

Shadowrun is set in the future, where nanotechnology and magic have combined. Elves, trolls and other magical creatures walk among us, and powerful technology and magic combine to create unique and powerful abilities.

Dragonfall takes you to a new city, Berlin, assembling a new team to battle a new threat - it has something to do with Dragonfall, a forgotten event from the early days of Awakened world, when magic returned. Shadowrun Returns ships with an editor that enables anyone to create their own scenarios, but Dragonfall is the first Harebrained-developed expansion pack for the game.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall was originally planned for a January release but the date slipped a little bit; Harebrained has confirmed it'll be released in February.
