Social polling app 'Straw' finally lands on iOS

Have you ever wished you could easily grab a quick opinion from all of your friends on any given topic? Well theres some good news for iOS users today in the form of Straw, a convenient little app that allows you to quickly poll your friends via your favorite social network. The app, which has already been available on Android and Windows Phone for a short time, has finally made its way to iDevices.

Straw is the brainchild of four Microsoft employees who put the app together in their spare time. The idea came about as the four founders were debating which college football teams they expected to win the various bowl games last year. It was then that they realized there wasn't yet an easy and accessible way to gather information on topics like this from the various social networks — arguably the best platforms for soliciting feedback. Thus, Straw was born.

The app interfaces with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and SMS, and will allow you to quickly and easily create and share a poll amongst your friends. The app essentially works by sharing a link to your poll on the social networks of your choosing. Your friends can then click through and give their opinions as you watch the votes stream in.

If you want to get in on the straw-polling action yourself, hit up the link to the iTunes App Store below where you can grab the app for free.
