Spotify has today announced their new "Browse" feature, that will be rolling out to iOS and Android premium subscribers in the coming days and weeks. Building from recent developments within their mobile apps, such as the Discover tab, Spotify is looking to make the next push forward in helping their listeners find new, great music to listen to. From Spotify:

Going for a jog or to the gym? We’ve got the playlist to help you go the extra mile. Hosting a dinner or getting ready for a big night out? We’ve got you covered. We even have playlists for different moods, so regardless of whether you need an upbeat boost or something more relaxing to wind down to - we’ve got just the thing. You can also browse through a collection of our top lists and check out new releases.

Beyond this, Spotify has also announced their new Messages feature, designed to improve the experience of sharing music with your Spotify friends. Like Browse, Messages will begin to roll out to Spotify subscribers over the course of the coming weeks.

I've personally lamented some of the changes Spotify has made to their iOS app in recent times, mainly because the newness came at the price of removing old features I enjoyed using to find music. Discover is OK, but is only as good as the music you've already listened to. Browse genuinely excites me, because it's a selection of music chosen by someone completely different, and so there's a good chance of discovering something new and exciting. Anyone else share my excitement, or is it another addition you can do without?
