Conan O'Brien plays life-sized Angry Birds and pokes fun at iPad 2 [Friday fun videos]

Last night, Conan O'Brian had a fun, life-sized game of Angry Birds on stage and teased Apple for getting cocky about the iPad 2 with a mock promo video that is based off the following slogan:

iPad 2. You'll buy it no matter what we say.

To make the Angry Birds game more exciting, Conan had the pigs hiding under IKEA furniture because Finland's arch rival is Sweden (Angry Birds was developed in Finland, and IKEA is based out of Swedan).

Rio Super Bowl Promo with Angry Birds secret

As we previously mentioned, Fox aired a promo at the Super Bowl on Sunday for their new film 'Rio', which would feature a little secret code that will unlock a new level of Angry Birds'.

After the break is the promo that aired, and features the Angry Birds code, which is a level reference (0:27 - If you didn't figure it out, we'll show you how you can unlock the secret level on Angry Birds.)

Angry Birds Seasons for iPhone, iPad gets a Valentine's Day update

Angry Birds Seasons has been updated to go along with Valentine's Day holiday. The update includes 15 new levels all dressed up in a nice Valentine's Day theme with additional achievements and a new icon.

Get ready for the most heartfelt episode in Angry Birds Seasons so far: the Valentine’s Day edition! After the shenanigans of Halloween and Christmas, Angry Birds Seasons continue in the spirit of Love! As usual, Angry Birds gives the most generous updates of any app!

Angry Birds update brings 15 new levels, Super Bowl commercial will bring special level

Angry Birds and Angry Birds HD just received an update that includes 15 new levels and a new golden egg. In the release notes, they also announced that there will be a Rio Movie commercial during the Super Bowl that includes a clue to unlock a special level.

Adventures in the Frontier Badlands continue
15 new levels - all crazier than popcorn on a hot stove
A new golden egg that is as mad as a bag of hammers
Watch the Rio Movie Commercial during the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl to find a hidden clue which unlocks a special level of Angry Birds.

Is anyone more excited about this movie commercial than the actual Super Bowl?

New Angry Birds game coming in March

The next version of the hit game Angry Birds will be coming to the App Store in March. The new game will not be a true sequel, but will be a licensed game based on the tie in with 20th Century Fox's upcoming animated film Rio.

Rio is a film about rare birds being kidnapped by other birds and is all about them escaping to freedom. Therefore we assume in this game, you will be up against birds rather than the nasty pigs that steal your eggs.

The film Rio is due to be released on April 15th but the new game will be available sometime in March. No exact date yet, but we will let you know as soon as we hear. While you wait patiently, take a look at the video teaser after the break, then let us know what you think in the comments!

Angry Birds creator praises iPhone as a platform, talks Android fragmentation

Angry Birds creator, Peter Vesterbacka, in a recent interview had some fairly positive things to say about Apple and the opportunities they have created for developers with the iPhone and iOS platform. He also gives a short explanation for the price tag for the iOS version versus the free Android version.

Angry Birds for the iPhone and iPod touch has just been updated to version 1.5.0 and now we have a new theme, 15 new levels, a new golden egg, and the introduction to the Mighty Eagle!

A new theme in the Frontier Badlands
15 new levels – no bellyachin’
A new golden egg for y’all city slickers
Cowboy up with the mighty eagle

The iPad saw this update on Monday and now you can play all of this new angrier bird madness on all of your iOS devices!

Angry Birds HD for iPad has been updated to version 1.5.0 and includes a new theme, more levels, and Game Center support.

A new theme in the Frontier Badlands
15 new levels - no bellyachin'
A new golden egg for y'all city slickers
Game Center support
Cowboy up with the mighty eagle

As of now, the update is only available for the iPad version of Angry Birds, but we suspect the iPhone update isn't far behind.

Angry Birds iPhone cases cropping up in Apple stores

Gear4 recently announced that they would be making iPhone cases based on the tremendously popular iPhone and iPad game Angry Birds, and now it appears they're starting to crop up in Apple stores. The cases are made of hard plastic and feature the red and yellow birds as well as the infamous green King Pig.

They're currently selling for $24.99. Anyone buying?
