Apple has been ordered to pay out $234 million to the University of Wisconsin after a court ruled that the tech giant had infringed upon a CPU patent held by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.
A jury has ruled that Apple infringed on a University of Wisconsin-owned CPU patent in its A7 and A8 processors, opening the door to a potential of $862 million in damages.
