Tweetbot for iPhone and iPad gains 3D Touch support

Tweetbot for iPhone and iPad has been updated to version 4.0.1, adding support for 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. With 3D Touch, you initiate quick actions, like writing a new tweet or going to your Activity feed. The app also supports peek and pop in your timeline.

Check below for the full list of changes in Tweetbot 4.0.1:

  • 3D touch peek and pop support in the timeline. We'll add it to more places in future releases.
  • 3D touch home screen quick actions.
  • Localized for French, Spanish and Japanese. More coming.
  • Lots of bug fixes.

Update: And Tweetbot has just received a second update. Only hours after the release of version 4.0.1, Tweetbot 4.0.2 has arrived, bringing a couple of enhancements and bug fixes to the app. You can now swipe to dismiss the built-in web brower, and YouTube links will open directly in the YouTube app if you have it installed. This version also fixes a crash issue with 3D Touch and Tweetbot's night mode.
