What's new on the App Store: Channel, Olympus Rising, and more

This week's new apps begin with Channel, a video sharing app that lets you watch great videos from around the world, and even post some of your own. Flare is a new social app that lets you post stories for a group of people that disappear after 24 hours. Photographers are going to want to check out MaxCurve, which offers powerful image editing tools. Also be sure to check out Giphy Keys, a new keyboard from Giphy.

Games this week start with Olympus Rising, a new Greek mythology-themed strategy game. Take a look at INKS. for a colorful, modern take on pinball. In Hovercraft: Takedown, you fight and race your way across several maps in custom vehicles that you create. To go along with next week's PlayStation 4 release of Uncharted 4: Thief's End, you can pick up Uncharted: Fortune Hunter, a top-down action/puzzle game.

The App Store is highlighting a number of action games with this week's collection. The collection includes everything from modern third-person action titles like Assassin's Creed Identity and 8-bit-style shooters like Downwell.

Check back next week for more new apps and games from the App Store, and remember to check out this week's Free App of the Week.
