Xcode's iOS simulator shows 2GB of RAM for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, 4GB for iPad Pro

Using a custom app containing three test images, a developer was able to gauge the amount of RAM in the new iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and the iPad Pro through the iOS simulator in Xcode 7.1 beta.

The utility confirmed that the new iPhones offer 2GB RAM, double that of what was included in last year's offerings:

While the above test is not a guarantee that the new iPhones will indeed offer 2GB of RAM, it is the best confirmation we can get before we get our hands on actual hardware. The test also showed that the iPad Pro is packing 4GB of RAM, which will come in handy when running two memory-intensive utilities side-by-side in iOS 9.

The iPad Pro is set to make its debut in the month of November, with the new iPhones up for pre-order right now. Will the added RAM be even more of an incentive for you guys to pick up the 6s or 6s Plus? Let us know in the comments.
