iMore and the Mobile Nations team will be giving out tons of special edition, collectors item t-shirts during next week's launch of the new iPad, but for those who don't live close by, we wanted to make sure you could be part of the fun as well!
Georgia, Rene, and David Barnard of Appcubby are in full post-game mode, reviewing everything Apple announced at the new iPad event, including iOS 5.1, the new Apple TV, the new iPad, and more. This is iPhone & iPad Live!
I've watched the new iPad event twice now and while they hit most of the notes most of us expected -- including the Retina display, LTE 4G networking, and iPhoto for iOS, the way in which they hit them, and some of the things they didn't hit were just as interesting. And they revealed as much about the new iPad as they did the new Apple.
Now that you've decided to get the 4G LTE flavor of the new iPad in the US, the question becomes -- AT&T or Verizon, which carrier should you choose? For most of us, the decision will come down to two factors - coverage and pricing.
In the tradition and spirit of any new product launch, pre-orders are failing spectacularly for most. The pre-order page went up shortly after Apple's iPad event and many users haven't been able to get past the first few pages before a time out occurred or the Apple Store app crashed.
iPhoto will be coming to iPad along with updates to iMovie and GarageBand to complete the rest of the iLife suite for iOS. It will come with many new features including new gestures, effects, multi-touch editing, the ability to send images wirelessly between devices.
If you're an iMovie fan, you'll be pleased to know that a new update will soon be rolling out to the masses. As highlighted by Phil Schiller on stage, iMovie now has support for the New iPad and 1080p recording, along with outlining and storyboarding options from within the app.
Overall, this is a nice update and we'll certainly be checking out the new additions - especially when we get our hands on the new iPad. Maybe another shootout will need to take place.
