Yahoo News Digest comes to the UK to give your iPhone its twice daily dose

Yahoo News Digest initially launched at CES in January as a U.S. only product, but today it spreads its wings and brings twice daily doses of news to UK readers. Importantly, the content is tailored to the region, and so won't provide U.S. news you're perhaps not so interested in.

Paper, an all new way to read Facebook on your iPhone, is coming Feb. 3

Facebook has today introduced its own take on a news app: Paper. It's coming February 3, but will be U.S. only at launch. Since this is a Facebook product, there's a healthy dose of your friends in there, with Paper first opening up on your Facebook News Feed. But – thankfully – there's more to it than that.

Gist 2.0 brings full Pocket support, new summary view, and more!

Gist has been updated to version 2.0, adding important new features like a new summary view and full support for read-it-later service Pocket. Gist will now summarize all of the articles that you store in Pocket. You can add, delete, and favorite articles from within Gist.

Facebook reportedly wants to deliver your news with Paper

If there aren't already enough ways to get news focussed content on the web and our mobile devices, it looks like Facebook might be set to get into the space as well. According to re/code, Paper is Facebook's answer to Flipboard, and it could be with us as soon as this month.

Potluck now lets you see when your friends join, push notifications return

Potluck has been updated to version 2.1, making it easier to connect with friends using Potluck, and returning push notifications to the app. You can see when one of your Facebook friends or Twitter followers joins Potluck when you look at the Friends tab. You can also start a new chat easily when opening Potluck when you have a link copied to your clipboard.
