Happy Saturday, iMore! Because Rich is awesome, he's letting us run some of his Mac-themed comics from the Diesel Sweeties archive on weekends. Bonus comics, woo! We hope you enjoy.

I think I need someone to explain this....showing my age, I guess.
Yeah. I don't get it. At all.

GUYS IT'S FROM STAR WARS AND 2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY
And it's pretty funny too...
OK, but where's the "same costume" part?! Sorry, I'm a little slow on weekends...
The block of carbonite and the black monolith are both shaped and colored a lot like an iPhone 5.
Thanks, these actually tend to be pretty funny, the issue being a lot of them require prior knowledge and the joke isn't shoved in your face. You have to think about them.
Oh no, you have to think, no wonder most people don't get them.

I think I was actually thinking/trying too hard...anyway, thanks everyone. I guess I get it now. Still not that amused. I think one of these brought a smile at some point.
If 99% of people "don't get" a joke, there's a good chance the joke is just bad.
Or it only applies to a small number of people who get it. Which happens to be me. When my sporty friends make jokes to each other about A-Rod taking steroids without mentioning that he does, then it requires prior knowledge. It doesn't make it a bad joke.
If a joke relies on obscure knowledge, it very much is a bad joke,
If it isn't funny even with the required prior knowledge, it is a bad joke.
Relax guys, no one is supposed to get it. The real joke is they get us to read these horrible excuses for "comics" every single time they are posted. Touché iMore. You got us good.
Agreed. They're just not funny unfortunately.
Is this because of the similarity of the new HTC Phone to an iPhone?
Now that was funny!
