- Norfolk State University has a real treat in store for its students.
- They're all getting an iPad Pro with accessories, and AirPods Pro.
- Staff and faculty are also getting devices, and students can choose to buy their devices to keep at graduation for just $1.
The institute announced Thursday:
All students will be gifted an iPad Pro, AirPods Pro, an Apple Pencil, and Smart Keyboard. The offer is also being extended to faculty and select staff members, with a total of 6,000 products to be distributed during the fall semester. Not just for study, students will also have the opportunity to buy their devices to keep at graduation for just $1, and are being provided at no extra cost. NSU's new Spartan Innovation Academy builds on the work of Apple's HBCU C2 initiative. The school's president stated:

Take a look at their tuition and fees, https://www.nsu.edu/tuitionandfees.aspx. $4,811 per semester. If it's two semesters per year, after 4 years, $38,488, and you can buy that 4 year old iPad for $1. That's in state BTW, and not actually all that bad, but you're paying for that iPAD, over time ;)
Meanwhile, studying in Europe is (almost) free. But you need to bring your own pen and paper.
