The Plants vs. Zombies 2 update we scoped out at E3 is now available! The Dark Ages Part 1 brings back the mushrooms we all know and love from the original, affording a new and interesting way of collecting sunshine. The Zombies are following with the theme, donning full plate and sending in frenzied berserkers that fling pellets back at you.
The original Plants vs. Zombies game by PopCap has been updated a few times in the past year and it's been maddening to me that not one of those updates contained support for the larger display of the iPhone 5. Luckily, the original game has finally been updated with support for the larger iPhone models. This is great news for people like me who don't particular care for the freemium model of Plants vs Zombies 2. Better late than never, right?
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is the sequel to Popcap's original, amazing, mega-hit, but it's also a completely new, completely different thing. It's freemium now, which means it's free to play, but it tries to encourage you to pay for extras via in-app purchase (IAP). Some people love that model. Some people hate it. We're not here to judge. We're just here to help you make the most of Plants vs. Zombies 2 no matter how you choose to play... or pay. And that means, of course, we're giving you our absolute best tips, tricks, and out-and-out cheats!
Plants vs. Zombies 2, the sequel to Popcap's smash-hit original, is now available in the U.S. and other international App Stores. Previously Australia and New Zealand only, Georgia's already posted her Plants vs. Zombies 2 preview and she'll be back soon with her ultimate PvZ2 tips, hints, and cheat guide.
Meanwhile, download, play, and tell me what you think!
It's been out in Australia for a few weeks now on a soft launch, but finally, Plants vs Zombies 2 will be hitting the App Store around the world. Tomorrow. The App Store team made the 'announcement' via their Facebook page, but there's no mistaking the teaser image, and the caption "It's About Time."
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is here! Well, sort of. It's in Australia and New Zealand only for right now, but I managed to get my hands on a copy from the Australian App Store. It may not be the finished product that Popcap unleashes on the world in general, but it's what they've given the land down-under so far, so it's fair game to take a look and see what just might be in store for the rest of us. And the answer is, more plants, more zombies, a lot more fun... and some annoying freemium crap as well. Here's the deal...
While we're all waiting for the Plants vs. Zombies 2 to show up in the iPhone and iPad App Store, the original version is still providing tons of fun, not to mention frenetic plant on zombie action! I've lost many a nights sleep playing PvZ since it launched, and I've accumulated a bunch of really handy tips, hints, and cheats. Here are my top 10!
The classic wave defense game, Plants vs. Zombies, has had a big update to their iPhone and iPad apps. There's now an endless vasebreaker mode, which spans 9 levels of defending against zombies hiding in fine china.
An Australian indie-pop band has created a music video for their latest track and the theme of the video is iOS gaming. In the video the band created real-life versions of hugely successful iPhone games like Angry Birds, Flight Control, Fruit Ninja, Cut the Rope and Plants vs. Zombies.
The band is called Hey Geronimo and after watching the video, it is obvious that they not only have a passion for music but iOS gaming too. The amount of work that appears to have gone into recreating these games into a real-life environment is very impressive.
