Tetris 99 is a free online multiplayer game exclusive to subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online. In a gameplay loop reminiscent of the popular battle royale genre, players go up against 98 other players in a fight to be number one. It's definitely one of the best online multiplayer experiences on the Nintendo Switch with its addictive gameplay.

In the Maximus Cup tournaments, players collect points every time they finish a game, even if they don't win. Of course, the higher your rank, the more points you earn. After earning 100 points in the Maximus Cup, players can earn a unique theme, which comes with its own background and music that changes the closer you get to the end of the game. After winning a theme, players can use it whenever they want.

The Maximus Cup runs from August 3 to August 6, 2021.
