What you need to know

  • Apple is expected to announce new iPhone 13 models this September, including an iPhone 13 Pro.
  • This new concept imagines an iPhone 13 Pro with a secondary screen displaying notifications and more.

All being well we expect Apple to announce iPhone 13 next month, with iPhone 13 Pro alongside it. The larger of the devices, iPhone 13 Pro Max, is set to be the best iPhone ever — but it won't be anywhere near as cool as this concept. And that's a real shame.

Based on rumors of the upcoming iPhone 13, the device has a smaller notch, a new camera system, and a rather fetching green look. Things start to diverge from the rumors when we spot the rear-facing display, though. Displaying notifications and more, the rear display is something that seems like a pretty great idea and who knows, maybe Apple will announce something like this in the future. Just not next month, unfortunately.

Apple will likely announce four new iPhones — iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max next month with new AirPods and Apple Watches also in the works. Rumors of 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros won't go away, and new iPads are also discussed as potential arrivals before year's end. All in all, it's going to be a busy few months over at Apple Park.
