Groupon, if you haven't heard of it, is an online deals website that specializes in bringing you great discounts from businesses in your area. The Groupon staff contacts retailers in different cities and offers to help promote their business by allowing customers to purchase one-time deep discounts. You can go out to dinner for half off, get tickets to local events for cheap, buy toys at prices that are even lower than Amazon, and even get great deals on vacations.

The deals are only available for a very limited time (sometimes only a day), and there is usually a limit how many you can purchase. When you buy a Groupon, you can take it to the specified retailer and show it to them to receive the approved discount.
