April Fool's Playmobil Apple Store

ThinkGeek obviously put a lot of effort into this April Fool's Playmobil Apple Store prank. I'd say it paid off.

Video after the break.

Except I saw your blog before I saw theirs. What happened to letting jokesters have some time for people to actually fall for their pranks? Today, the tech blogs have all been spoilers of April fool's jokes and it's only 8:40 am!!!

$179.99? Haha ridiculous pricing. Like apple

    • Morgan Stevens says:

The price would actually a bargain if you really got all of those mini-figures. I have a kid who loves Legos - and Lego is very proud of their mini figures and charges accordingly. You could toss the rest of the set and still come out ahead on just the cost of the tiny people.

Actually it's only 10.00 more than the actual Playmobil playset they used to repaint and become the store. The little stools and the black shelving come from the "School Woodshop" set and the two story School playset is what they used for the building and sells for $169.00

The chairs that they painted black for the keynolte theater come in the cafe and and a few other sets but to get that many chairs and people they had to have used multiple sets - I;m not sure what they used for the actual mac equipment though. there are books that they might have altered to become ipads.

So it probably cost them about 260.00 to put it together enough to do the work.

Here's the linl for the Playmobil set before ThinkGeek hacked it to be the Apple Store:
