How to leave a Challenge in Fitbit for iPhone and iPad

Like any smart person, you know when you're beat. You could press on with a "never take 'no' for an answer" mentality, and I applaud you.

However, if buddy's taking 30 thousand steps a day and I'm barely hitting a grand, I'm out. Here's how to bow out with your dignity intact:

  1. Launch the Fitbit app from your Home screen. It's a white diamond, made of circles, on a turquoise background.
  2. Tap Challenges at the bottom of the screen. It's the shield with a star on it.
  3. Tap the Challenge you'd like to exit.

Launch Fitbit, tap challenges, tap a challenge

  4. Tap Options on the top right of the screen.
  5. Tap Quit This Challenge at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Tap Quit Challenge in the pop-up. Tap Cancel if you picked the wrong challenge.

Tap options, quit this challenge, quit challenge

You're out of there — gracefully and without shame. They may say, "quitters never win," but I'd put sitting on the couch instead of climbing stairs in the 'W' column any day.
